Healthy Habits Family Camp dates: July 4-6
An interdisciplinary team of pediatricians, nurses, psychologists, social workers and nutritionists from Children’s National Medical Center have joined together to develop a family approach to healthy living. Join us for three days and two nights of summer fun while gaining invaluable knowledge needed to develop a healthy life. Families with a child or teen at risk for childhood obesity (ages 7-16) are invited.
Throughout their time at camp, the children participate in a myriad of activities. The kids learn team-building skills through activities such as a team sports, skits, and camp Olympics. Group counseling sessions allow the children to discuss their feelings and learn how others cope with their condition. Families come together to form support networks and to offer one another information and assistance. Everyone is there for the same thing: to have fun and learn how to live a healthy life.
The cost of Healthy Habits Family Camp is $150/person. Need based scholarships are available and payment plans can be arranged. Please contact Brainy Camps for more information.
